Summer 1945 Germany Japan and the Harvest of Hate eBook Thomas Goodrich
I have read dozens of books on WWII and its aftermath. I no longer find material that I have not run into before. Thomas Goodrich’s book is an exception. In considering the fate of POWs I had not realized that less than 1,000 Japanese survived as prisoners. The present climate in our schools and media emphasizes crimes committed by “America.” These same critics are curiously silent when dealing with this period. In fact they emphasize the good deeds performed after the war. Could it be that an honest account would reflect badly on our “progressive” rulers?

Summer 1945 Germany Japan and the Harvest of Hate eBook Thomas Goodrich Reviews
I am sickened by the horrible things in this book. History does indeed go to the victor. There is good reason it is said, war is hell. Do not read this book if you are bothered by graphic and violent material. While it was very difficult for me to read it, I feel all American adults should do so.
Was it not recorded that Patton said we fought on the wrong side? Then he was killed.
This book makes the Nazis and Japanese look sympathetic.. They were bastards and got what they deserved. Yes, the Allies committed atrocities, but so did the Nazis and Japanese. WAR IS HELL.
Highly recommend to those interested in the real facts about that heinous conflict which was instigated by the victors of it...
Making to point of view of the vanquished easily available.
The conquerors control the narrative.
Lesson from all this seems to be don't lose, leave no prisoners to contradict the victory narrative.
This book chronicles the war crimes committed by the allies against the Germans & the Japanese. If you want to see the vantage point of all sides to a war, read this book.
This is an amazing book, written with courage and compassion. It's one of those “Everyone should read this” and “I’d give this more than-5-stars if I could” kind of books. It’s obvious that the author has poured his heart and soul into its creation. Thank you and Bravo, Mr. Goodrich. Bravo!
